Liar at heart

Lori walked back to her house and set the last of the boxes down. She dropped off the apartment keys when she was there and filled out some forms. She had officially moved out. She leaned against one of the walls and closed her eyes, resting.

Prop and Bella started to walk down the beach together and began to talk and catch up about everything that had happened over four years.

After resting for a moment, Lori began to unpack her clothes in the bedroom. She hummed softly as she did so, keeping her mind occupied with unpacking. Once finished unpacking, she yawned and headed for the door. Once outside, she sat down and watched the sea quietly.

Bella laughed at something Prop said and shoved him over. He stumbled and fell into the sea, laughing.
"Hey!" he playfully growled.
"You're gonna pay for that!"
"Catch me if you can" she giggled and ran off down the beach. He grinned and ran after her.

Lori blinked as she spotted the running pair and tilted her head. She recognized Prop, but not the girl he was running after. Watching them curiously, she stayed silent.

He easily caught up to her and grabbed her around the waist and spun her around, the both of them laughing. He picked her up and threw her into the sea, causing her to cough and splutter indignantly.
"PROSPER REDWOOD!" She wailed.
"Sorry Bella love" Prop called, grinning.

Lori slowly frowned as she watched them. Did he call her love? ..Are they together? Wait, wait! Why the hell should she care? She shook her head frantically and looked away. It's none of her business anyway.

"You haven't changed a bit" Bella muttered, walking out of the sea. "Except you gained more muscle. you were such a scrawny git"
"Scrawny?" Prop repeated, offended. He looked over and spotted Lori and smiled.
Bella looked over.
"is that your girlfriend?" she giggled.
He glared at her.
"idiot."
"Nope. Bella Redwood actually" she laughed.

Having looked away, her thoughts had started to trail off. She was no longer paying attention to anything around her and had stopped listening to the two's conversation. Lori closed her eyes and sighed silently.

Prop sat down on the sand and Bella sat next to him, crossing her legs and smiling.
He smiled fondly at her and gave her a tight hug.

She frowned again as her thoughts turned into memories. She opened her eyes and shook her head once more, trying to forget them.

Prop waved goodbye to Bella as she went off to go and find her siblings. He stood up and dusted the sand from his pants. He sighed and went over to Lori.
"Hey" he said slowly. "Just wanted to apologize about before.. and to say thanks.. for having faith in me.."

Lori blinked when she heard Prop's voice. She turned her head, thinking she heard another part of his and the girl's conversation, only to find him standing next to her. She looked around but didn't see the girl anywhere in sight.
"..Oh?"She said, looking back up at him.

His lips twitched slightly.
"Did you even hear me? Or were you lost in your thoughts?" he smiled. "Yeah.. i'm sorry about before.. and thank you."

"Ah, I'm sorry." She sighed, standing up. "I was thinking of something.. and it's ok." She shook her head. "There's no need to thank me though. I was just stating my thoughts on the matter."
